A Creative Way to Show Off Those Fancy Engagement Photos

So you’ve taken some amazing engagement photos with your “to die for” photographer and now you’re wondering what to do with them. It is hard enough trying to decide which ones you want to print out to frame and hang in the house, let alone deciding on a photo for your save the dates. You definitely can’t pick JUST ONE picture to feature because you and your sweetie are just the cutest. Not to mention there are so many styles of save the dates these days (basic card, post card, magnet, etc) and quite frankly, they all sound wonderful.

If this is you, If you want to do more than a simple post card, how about sending a combination photo card and magnet to your guests? This featured design showcases an engagement photo on a double-sided 5×7 flat panel card. The backside does double duty by also holding a small magnet with a different photo and wording on it.

When choosing this design, you are able to combine tradition with modern, pleasing not only yourself but also guests of all ages. You start out with the front of the card being a classic shot of you and your boo.

Then you pick a bit more of an artistic shot that really shows your personality as a couple for the magnet. Make sure to include the important details on this one because it will be the one that people are looking at every time they open the fridge.

Super cute right?! Get creative and have fun showcasing both your photos and save the dates!

Romantic Blush and Gold Wedding Invitations & Stationery

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE blush and gold, as you can tell by my business branding!  It’s so soft, pretty and romantic.  I enjoyed working with Laura and her Mom to create mostly all of her and Andy’s custom stationery for their wedding that took place at St. John Chapel and Banquet Center.

Beautiful pearlescent ivory, blush and antique gold papers, ribbon and crystal rhinestones were used to create their invitation suite.  We began and ended with stationery that featured their engagement and wedding photos.  The main invitation was a multi-layered flat panel style with a ribbon band that held the insert cards on the back.

For their wedding day I created ceremony programs, reception menus, and cocktail napkins.

Elegant Navy Blue, Silver and Orange Wedding Invitations & Stationery

With God at the forefront of their marriage, Tanika and Maurice wanted their wedding invitations to be elegant and have a spiritually royal feel.  They decided on a strong color palette of navy blue and orange with silver accents which paid tribute to the Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs, both of their hometowns!  I worked with them to design a tri-fold enclosure style invitation with ribbon accents and a monogram tag featuring their favorite scripture.

Silver mailing envelopes complimented the invitations and the insert cards were held in place with ribbon.  Coordinating tags for their guest welcome bags were also created.

No details were missed on the day of the wedding!  I incorporated additional artwork and a watermark pattern throughout all of their wedding day stationery.  Some of the featured paper goods included ceremony programs, signature drink signs, escort cards, “kissing menus” and dinner menus.

After the wedding I used gorgeous photos from Studio 41 Photography to create double sided flat card style thank you cards for them.  A section at the bottom of the card allowed them to handwrite a special message to each guest.

Modern White and Grey Letterpress Wedding Invitations

White and Grey Letterpress Invitations

These beautiful letterpress wedding invitations were created in a modern and clean white and grey color palette.  I love how there is a pop of burgundy, their accent color, throughout the design.  The invitation is an oversized size 6×9 double thick flat panel card which featured burgundy edge coloring and a blind embossed belly band that held the insert cards in place.  There are so many lovely design details in this suite…

The grey envelopes featured white hand calligraphy along with custom printed envelope liners.  Laura Hooper Calligraphy also penned the couples names, monogram and insert card headers which I incorporated into the design.  The main invitation was done in soft grey letterpress but the insert cards were done using grey offset printing.

The RSVP card envelope featured the return address in white foil printing.  I seriously love this whole invitation suite that screams “less is more”!
