Michigan Baby Shower Event Design | Playland/Toyland Theme

Along with designing custom invitations and stationery I also keep myself busy with designing events. The special post today is about a Playland/Toyland themed baby shower I designed earlier this year. I worked with “Mommy-to-be” Shavonne to design her babyshower inspired by toys and a color palette of cream, chocolate brown, red and light blue. I came up with the concept of guests taking a train ride into “Bryson’s Playland”. The invitations were designed as boarding pass style train tickets.

Each of the guest tables were designed as a stop along the train ride such as “Teddy Bear Forest”, or Bryson’s artwork table, or a classic red wagon filled with toys. I also designed coordinating placemats with welcome message on front and games on back, food tents and custom printed napkins. The candy table was a highlight of the event, as always! The candy colors and table decor coordinated perfectly with the overall event design. Enjoy the photos from the event that were captured by Yen Minns Photography.

Michigan Baby Shower Design | Baby Bump – Part 1 Event Design

Today we’re excited to feature pictures from a “Baby Bump” inspired baby shower that we designed. Our studio designed the event concept and style for this special occasion. The event was branded with a maternity dress form, whimsical yet elegant script font and the color palette of lilac, sage and white. The branding began with magazine style invitations, which were a special request from the mommy-to-be. Next came the overall event style which was to be girly, elegant and tastefully simple. We designed the centerpieces, place settings, game booklets/stationery and the sweet table (which will be featured in part II tomorrow). The event was held on the beautiful water of the Keans Marina in Detroit, MI. Enjoy the photos!

Ticket Style Announcements | Michigan State Inspired

I’m so excited about today’s post because it will feature a design I did for one of my past 2008 couples, Nakaiya and Aldeman. I’ve established a great working relationship and friendship with Nakaiya so of course I was honored when she asked me to design these announcements. I’m currently working on the sweet table and event design for her upcoming baby shower so i’ll be posting more about that soon!

Now onto these incredibly creative announcements (If I say so myself!). They both attended Michigan State University so I thought we could run with that theme and colors once Nakaiya told me that she wanted to do a ticket style for them. I used one of the MSU logos as inspiration to create “Walters State University”. I love to design stationery that is ultra unique in concept and execution. I’ve definitely never seen anything like this before!
