Love Letter Invitations | Vintage Love Bridal Shower Design

When I began discussing ideas for invitations, stationery and decor with my client, Kujuanna, I was instantly inspired by the love and relationship of the bride and groom to be. She was planning an “Old Fashion Love” bridal shower for her dear friend. We decided upon a Vintage Love theme in her color palette of black, white and red. Everything would be designed to be very romantic, intimate and warm.

The bridal shower invitations were designed as handwritten love letters! The concept involved a letter size invitation with a personalized letter to each of her guests detailing the new love her of her life and inviting them to her bridal shower. They were then enclosed in a paper belly band containing a love poem, and embellished with a tassel and wax seal with a double heart design. The letters were mailed in black envelopes with custom printed heart envelope liners and address band wrap.

For the day of the shower I designed coordinating game booklets, candy bag labels, candy table signs, welcome signage, cd favor labels (not pictured), placecards, thank you cards and a custom guest book.

Along with the paper I also helped her to conceptualize the event design which included lots of candle light, red rose centerpieces, red rose petals scattered through out and vellum wrapped cylinders. Here is a quick photo I captured with my phone to show the look and feel of the shower.

Press Feature | Brenda’s Wedding Blog

Our design studio had the great opportunity to participate in a U of M inspired Coed Bridal Shower styled shoot along with other great Michigan vendors. One of the best features was that the shoot took place right on the football field of The Big House! We designed the menu cards, sweet table banner, chair signage and the favor signs (not featured). You can visit Brenda’s Wedding Blog and check out full pictures and vendor details HERE.

Bridal Shower & Bachelorette Party Invitations | Nightclub Inspired

Edgy. Urban. Fun. Flirty….all words used to describe the look of these combination bridal shower and bachelorette party invitations.  I worked with one of the bridesmaids to design these invitations for their special bride-to-be.  The event was held at “Vondie’s On The River”, a nightclub in downtown Detroit.  This was not going to be your prissy, girly shower so the invitations had to reflect this.

I used a female silhouette as one of the main features of the invitation design.  The left portion, bridal shower, showcased her underneath an umbrella to represent the shower and on the right portion, bachelorette party, I transformed her into a dancer.  The girls received pole dancing lessons that night so of course I had to showcase that on the invitations!  The wavy swirls in the background represent the waves from the river that the venue sits on.  Another special touch is the photo of the bride-to-be holding her umbrella on the back of the mailing envelope.

I was also asked to create the coordinating stationery and favors for the day of the event.  I used the same color palette, fonts and graphics in order to ensure the branding of the event would continue throughout.

These bridal bucks were used during an auction game were guests were able to bid on gifts that they wanted to take home.

Special cards were passed out to everyone so that they could write a few words of advice for the bride-to-be.  Such a great keepsake for her after the shower.

Aja’s Bridal Shower Invitations | Newspaper Style

I worked with one of my past brides, Nakaiya, to design these bridal shower invitations her her good friend Aja, who is also a past client!  These are one of my favorite bridal shower invitation design to date.  Aja wanted a newspaper style for her invitations so I requested a ton of detailed information and the inspiration began from there.  The actual invitation is folded in half with a mock preview of what is inside this weeks article.   There is even a space on the front for the personalized delivery to the guest.

The name of her newspaper is the “McHenry Wedding Chronical” which was the first detailed feature that will capture the attention of her guests.   The bridal shower information is within one of the page articles so I made sure to bold this information so it wouldn’t be missed.
Each of the articles pertains to something about the couple.  Personal pictures with real captions are also included in the design!
