How To Create A Fully Branded Stationery Suite

002_2440_full

Creating the overall brand, or “look”, for your wedding or event stationery is all about CONSISTENCY! The brand is established in the beginning as a way to define and set the tone for you event through the use of coordinating colors, fonts, graphics, paper and printing styles.

When I brand weddings and events I pull inspiration from the venue, decor and the personality and style of my clients. This helps me to carefully source the appropriate graphics and fonts that will represent the “look” they are going for. I use these key components throughout all of the stationery pieces in different ways. Everything should not be an identical match, but more so variations. Take a look at the featured designs below to see how a fully branded stationery suite was created.

Michigan Bridal Shower Event Design | Sea of Love Theme

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of designing and styling the bridal shower for a lovely couple that were planning a destination wedding. I worked directly with the MOG, Judy, to plan an intimate bridal to introduce her future daughter-in-law to friends and family. It was important that the shower included elements that would help everyone get to know Sharalaina, such as each table having a sign that included one of the brides favorite things. This would also be turned into a game during the shower.

Working with the requested color of Malibu Blue, I combined it with white and tan to create a “Sea of Love” bridal shower theme. I used specialty linen and props to help bring all of the elements together for this modern and elegant shower. Some of the decor included water, shells, sand, starfish and hanging lanterns. A couple of my favorite touches were the sand dollar cards that were used in place of a traditional (boring) guest book and the “He POPPED the question” popcorn wraps on the sweet table.

Here are the invitations that were designed for the shower:

Love Letter Invitations | Vintage Love Bridal Shower Design

When I began discussing ideas for invitations, stationery and decor with my client, Kujuanna, I was instantly inspired by the love and relationship of the bride and groom to be. She was planning an “Old Fashion Love” bridal shower for her dear friend. We decided upon a Vintage Love theme in her color palette of black, white and red. Everything would be designed to be very romantic, intimate and warm.

The bridal shower invitations were designed as handwritten love letters! The concept involved a letter size invitation with a personalized letter to each of her guests detailing the new love her of her life and inviting them to her bridal shower. They were then enclosed in a paper belly band containing a love poem, and embellished with a tassel and wax seal with a double heart design. The letters were mailed in black envelopes with custom printed heart envelope liners and address band wrap.

For the day of the shower I designed coordinating game booklets, candy bag labels, candy table signs, welcome signage, cd favor labels (not pictured), placecards, thank you cards and a custom guest book.

Along with the paper I also helped her to conceptualize the event design which included lots of candle light, red rose centerpieces, red rose petals scattered through out and vellum wrapped cylinders. Here is a quick photo I captured with my phone to show the look and feel of the shower.

Michigan Baby Shower Event Design | “All Star Twins” Basketball Theme – Part 1

Event Branding | Polka Dot Balloon themed Invitations & Event Details

This past summer I had the fun opportunity to work with my sister to design the invitations and event decor for my niece’s first birthday party! We decided on a very cute theme and color palette for this very special party.

The invitations were designed as a double sided balloon bunch that I hand cut into the actual shape. They were mailed in coordinating lavender envelopes.
From the invitations a monogram was developed to continue to brand the event.

I ordered coordinating polka dot balloons, straws and ice cream cups online from Shop Sweet Lulu.

And lastly, here’s a few photos from the actual event which include a custom birthday banner, favor bags with labels and custom coloring sheets!
