How To Create A Fully Branded Stationery Suite

002_2440_full

Creating the overall brand, or “look”, for your wedding or event stationery is all about CONSISTENCY! The brand is established in the beginning as a way to define and set the tone for you event through the use of coordinating colors, fonts, graphics, paper and printing styles.

When I brand weddings and events I pull inspiration from the venue, decor and the personality and style of my clients. This helps me to carefully source the appropriate graphics and fonts that will represent the “look” they are going for. I use these key components throughout all of the stationery pieces in different ways. Everything should not be an identical match, but more so variations. Take a look at the featured designs below to see how a fully branded stationery suite was created.

Happy New Year, I’m Grateful For…..

Happy New Year to all of you! It seems as though 2012 has come like a thief in the night and I can’t believe it is almost the middle of January. This year marks the 5 year anniversary of Lepenn Designs! I’d like to take the time to give a very humble THANK YOU to all of those that have believed in me and in this company. The saying that it “takes a village” definitely holds true. It was the support of my family, friends and sorority sisters that allowed me (and my husband/business partner) to get this business off the ground by taking a chance on someone new. There is no way I could have done it without having loved ones in my corner.

Running a business is no easy task. It may look pretty on the outside, but in the inside lays a lot of long hours, sleepless nights, stressful situations and emergency paper outages and printer failures (had to throw that in there!) BUT, the good definitely outweighs the bad. It brings me such joy to receive emails, texts, calls and letters from clients who are so excited and appreciative of what I have designed for them. It’s so satisfying to know that the passion and energy I put into all of our work doesn’t go unnoticed. Yes, there have been times when I’ve had to hold back the tears and fight against giving up, but with much prayer, perseverance and dedication i’ve been able to get through any obstacle that may stand in the way.

This business has come a looooong way since 2007, but this is only the beginning! There are so many visions, wishes and dreams that I need to bring to reality. I can’t wait to expand in a way that allows my true passion for designing and creating to really shine! There’s no time to rest, it’s time to make it happen!

I’M GRATEFUL for an extremely supportive husband, a precious little “assistant” (my 18 month old son), loving family, devoted friends, dependable vendors and my wonderful clients! I’M GRATEFUL for God putting me in a position to use the talents that he gave me. I’M GRATEFUL for doing what I love for a living and being my own boss (well not exactly…my son seems to think he runs the show!). I’M GRATEFUL for life and good health. I’M GRATEFUL for you reading this message…..

Cheers to an AMAZING 2012!

Studio Update | Our New Edition!

Wow, is it almost fall already? We are about to enter my favorite time of the year but this year has flown by so fast for me! You may have noticed that our blog posts and new designs have been on the light side this year. Well, I have a very good reason why and here HE is:

My husband and I were blessed with a beautiful baby boy on July 8th at 8:15pm! He has truly been nothing short of an amazing gift to us and I adore him so much! So, most of this year has been spent preparing for his arrival and taking a few months off on maternity leave. We had an exciting newborn photography session with the AMAZING Dionne of The Shooting Gallery. The picture above is a sneak peek at one of the photos, so you can only imagine how awesome the rest of them are!
I am back now and ready for you! I have about 5 months of new invitations and stationery designs that I am anxiously waiting to show off. I’m in the process of photographing them so look out for them very soon!
A very special post that will be coming soon is about our baby shower. Much time was spent on all of the details that complimented our theme of “An Angel from Heaven” with a color palette of light blue, gold and white. Look at these delicious cupcakes from the bakery in Holiday Market of Royal Oak. The guests LOVED them! Can’t wait to show you more!
