Tennessee Wedding Save-The-Date’s & Invitations | Jackie & Preston

The goal for Jackie and Preston’s wedding stationery was to create something elegant yet stunning!  Their beautiful paper suite began with an engagement photo style save-the-date card that functioned as both a reminder magnet for the refrigerator and a card to be framed.  The wedding invitations featured a die cut pocket, my favorite part, ribbon and tag.

How To Create A Fully Branded Stationery Suite

Creating the overall brand, or “look”, for your wedding or event stationery is all about CONSISTENCY! The brand is established in the beginning as a way to define and set the tone for you event through the use of coordinating colors, fonts, graphics, paper and printing styles.

When I brand weddings and events I pull inspiration from the venue, decor and the personality and style of my clients. This helps me to carefully source the appropriate graphics and fonts that will represent the “look” they are going for. I use these key components throughout all of the stationery pieces in different ways. Everything should not be an identical match, but more so variations. Take a look at the featured designs below to see how a fully branded stationery suite was created.

A Creative Way to Show Off Those Fancy Engagement Photos

So you’ve taken some amazing engagement photos with your “to die for” photographer and now you’re wondering what to do with them. It is hard enough trying to decide which ones you want to print out to frame and hang in the house, let alone deciding on a photo for your save the dates. You definitely can’t pick JUST ONE picture to feature because you and your sweetie are just the cutest. Not to mention there are so many styles of save the dates these days (basic card, post card, magnet, etc) and quite frankly, they all sound wonderful.

If this is you, If you want to do more than a simple post card, how about sending a combination photo card and magnet to your guests? This featured design showcases an engagement photo on a double-sided 5×7 flat panel card. The backside does double duty by also holding a small magnet with a different photo and wording on it.

When choosing this design, you are able to combine tradition with modern, pleasing not only yourself but also guests of all ages. You start out with the front of the card being a classic shot of you and your boo.

Then you pick a bit more of an artistic shot that really shows your personality as a couple for the magnet. Make sure to include the important details on this one because it will be the one that people are looking at every time they open the fridge.

Super cute right?! Get creative and have fun showcasing both your photos and save the dates!

2014 Detroit Barristers’ Ball | Save The Date and Flyer Design

I’m currently working with members of The Wolverine Bar Association here in Detroit, Michigan to design the collateral for their upcoming 53rd Annual Barrister’s Ball. All elements will be branded with a red, black and white Monte Carlo theme. Here’s what we designed for their save the date and advertisement flyers. I’ll be sure to post pictures of their fabulous invitation once they’re mailed out to guests!

Photo Save The Date’s | Z-Fold Cards

Kyra and Courtney’s engagement photos were amazing and they were photographed by Marcus Shawn Photography. It’s a must to showcase your photos in your save the dates when they’re this nice! I worked with Kyra to design these z-fold style cards featuring three sections of pictures and information on each side. A different picture was used as the backdrop of each page. With a clever placing of the wording we were still able to incorporate the date/location details, monogram and wedding website. I love this style and they are definitely one of my favorites from this year!
