We are currently looking for a part-time contractor Production + Retail Fulfillment Assistant to join our small but amazing team! This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with a passion for stationery, a keen eye for detail and a love of working in a creative, fast-paced environment. About The Company and The Position:
Established in 2007, Lepenn Designs is a luxury stationery and graphic design studio based out of Metro Detroit, Michigan but we work with discerning clientele from all over the world. We are a fast-paced graphic design, stationery and branding design studio focused on the wedding, corporate and social event industries. We believe in nurturing our clients and providing them with a top notch experience as we guide them through the process of creating one-of-a-kind stationery they will cherish for a lifetime. Due to our hard work and dedication to our craft we have been called upon to design for numerous celebrities, high profile clients and organizations. We have been recognized on both local and national levels through print and digital publications including The Knot, Martha Stewart Weddings, BRIDES magazine, VOGUE, Essence, Metro Detroit Weddings, Washingtonian Weddings and many more!
In 2020 our retail division, The Greek Penn, was created to offer sophisticated stationery and specialty gifts to Divine 9 Organizations, The Links, Incorporated and Jack & Jill of America. TGP sells online and vends at in person events.

The Production and Retail Fulfillment role is an in-person, 1099 contractor position that will encompass four key areas: 1. Invitation and Stationery Assembly, 2. Pick-up and Drop-off of orders from print shops and FedEx/UPS/USPS locations, 3. Inventory management, and 4. Retail Order Fulfillment. You will be working in our Southfield, MI based design studio at least 3 days per week. Hours and days may increase dependent upon busy seasons.

Responsibilities and Duties Include but not Limited to:
-Pick-up & drop-off of orders and supplies from the print shop
-Assemble luxury invitation suites (think elegant ribbon ties, wax seals, custom envelope assembly and stuffing)
-Quality control review of printed stationery received from manufacturing partners
-Package orders for shipping with care and attention to detail
-Drop off packages at FedEx/UPS/USPS locations
-Maintain inventory of stationery supplies, papers, and packaging materials
-Help with studio organization and other light tasks to support the production flow
-Organize and manage product inventory for retail division
-Following LD best practices and workflow while providing input on improvements for our systems and processes
-Participation in staff meetings and continued support of the owner and graphic design team
-Conduct research for client projects (materials, suppliers, vendors etc)
-Special projects as assigned


Ideal Candidate Requirements:
-Reliable and detail-focused, with a passion for luxury, high-quality work
-Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently in a creative environment minimal supervision
-Comfortable with hands-on tasks (assembly, packing, handling delicate materials)
-Able to lift up to 25 pounds and do light physical work
-Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time doing repetitive work
-Punctual, organized, and able to stay on top of deadlines
-Valid driver’s license
-Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the Oakland/Wayne County area via own transportation for pick-ups and drop-offs
-Experience or interest in working in the wedding, event, or creative industry is a plus!
-Flexible weekday availability
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, both internally with team and externally with vendors and clients
-Extremely organized with excellent attention to detail and planning skills
-Strong customer service ‘client care’ skills
-Demonstrated solid business decision-making and problem-solving skills
-Team player with ability to deal professionally with others in high stress situations
-Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Details:
-Part-time position working from our Southfield, Michigan studio
-15-20+ hours/week, during daytime hours (between 10am-4pm), 3 days per week Monday-Friday
-Salary starting at $18.00 per hour, negotiable based on strong experience
-1099 Contractor Position
